Maintenance of your bed
Our beds contain a number of components that can emit sound. This is perfectly normal and can be caused by the frame, amongst other things. The frame is made of wood, which is a living material. The wood moves in response to the humidity in the room and can therefore emit sound. The springs in both the mattress and the bottom mattress can also make noise when they move.
Sometimes, however, the bed makes sounds that are not normal. These usually occur after a period of use or because components of your bed have changed over time. Here are some tips for easy steps you can take yourself:
What you can do
Start by checking that the bed legs are properly tightened. The legs need to be tightened at regular intervals as they move when the bed does. Also check that the legs have furniture pads and that these are not worn, damaged or missing as their absence can cause frictional noise on the floor.
